Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 (20 oz.) can Dole crushed pineapple
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (20 oz.) loaf white bread, cut into 1-inch cubes (the less fresh, the easier to cut)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Lightly grease a 9×13 or 3 quart baking dish.
- In a very large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light.
- Mix in the vanilla (optional).
- Stir in the crushed pineapple and salt.
- Gently fold in the bread cubes.
- Pour melted butter into the bowl and mix until coated.
- Transfer to the prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes, until browned.
